About the Author

Kristopher McClendon was a shy and often bullied student in middle school when he began writing. He started out with fan fiction and then moved onto creating his own short stories before moving on to making several attempts at novel writing. He has taken an interest in the supernatural and likes to blend it with other genres such as action and adventure which created the tale of Freak Show.

Expanded Biography

After graduating high school, Kristopher McClendon explored several different career paths while pursuing his long-time interest in video games and storytelling. During this time, he worked a variety of jobs in the service industry while attending college and earning an associate’s degree in game development.

While in college, Kristopher began working on his creative writing projects in his spare time, including the early development of his book Freak Show. He also gained experience in the gaming industry by working as a bug tester for Digital Dream Forge, where he helped test mobile games such as Diner Dash and Cooking Dash. His approach to testing focused on finding unusual ways to break game mechanics and uncover hidden bugs.

Despite gaining valuable experience in game development and testing, Kristopher ultimately discovered that his true passion was storytelling rather than programming. After completing his degree, he shifted his focus toward writing.

Over the years he worked several additional jobs, including roles in sales and retail, while continuing to develop his writing career. During this period, he also faced significant personal challenges, including serious health struggles that eventually led to him leaving traditional employment and focusing more on his creative work.

Following the publication of his first book, Kristopher continued pursuing opportunities to share his work with a wider audience. Today, he is focused on building his presence as an author and expanding the world of his stories while working with publishers and promotional partners to bring his work to readers.

Kristopher’s journey reflects persistence through adversity and a commitment to creative expression, with writing serving as the primary outlet for his ideas, imagination, and personal experiences.
